Installing a ceiling fan where there's currently only a light fixture requires installing a fan-rated ceiling box — a regular light box isn't strong enough to support a spinning fan. We handle this properly so your fan is secure, wobble-free, and safe for years to come.
We also wire separate switches for the fan and light (if your fan has both), install remote control receivers, and connect smart-home compatible fan controllers.

Frequently asked questions
Can I install a ceiling fan where there's currently just a light?
Yes, but the existing light box must be replaced with a fan-rated box. Standard light boxes aren't designed for the dynamic load of a spinning fan and can fail — a safety hazard. We install the proper box and fan in one visit.
Can you install a ceiling fan where there's no existing wiring at all?
Yes. We run a new circuit from your panel, fish wire through the ceiling, and install a new fan-rated box and switch. This is more involved than a replacement but very common in bedrooms, screened porches, and bonus rooms.
My ceiling fan wobbles — do I need a new one?
Not necessarily. Wobble is usually caused by an unbalanced blade, a loose mounting bracket, or an insufficiently rated ceiling box. We can diagnose and often fix a wobbling fan without full replacement.
